2018 Democratic Convention

Join Tenth Dems for a Democratic Convention right in your own backyard! On Sunday, February 25, at 2 PM, Tenth Dems will co-host a 2018 Democratic Convention at the College of Lake County (Grayslake Campus), 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. Other co-hosts include: Indivisible Lindenhurst, Warren Township Democrats, Avon Township Democrats, Indivisible Northern Lake County, McHenry Township Democrats, Indivisible IL 14, Grant Township Democrats, Lake County Democratic Independent Women, Northwest Suburban Democrats, and the Lake Villa Township Democrats.

Learn more about your 2018 Democratic candidates by signing up for the Democratic Convention in Grayslake.

Democratic candidates up and down the ballot–from the governor’s race to precinct committeemen–will be there. This is a great way for Lake County voters (and others in the 6th, 10th, and 14th Congressional Districts) to hear from many of the Democratic candidates ahead of the March 20 primary.

Whether you’ve been following every race closely or you’re just tuning in now, you can get more engaged by joining us at the Convention at the College of Lake County. It’s free and open to all Democrats.

These are serious times. The Convention will be informative—which is important—but it should be pretty fun, too. Hear some short speeches, see candidates in person, and socialize with fellow Democrats.

Register voters in Illinois

If Democrats get out and vote, we win. But we need to register voters first. And you can help do that right now.

Tenth Dems University invites you to an upcoming series of trainings for Cook and Lake County residents who wish to become Deputy Voter Registrars. Deputy Registrars must be trained in the county in which they live, but once trained, can register voters anywhere in Illinois.

The training will be provided by the County Clerks’ offices, takes less than an hour, and is free of charge. Sign-ups will be taken up to 5 hours before the class starts. In most cases, late sign-ups will not be added to the class.
