Moraine Township Offers Free One-on-One Help Enrolling
Moraine Township offers assistance to residents to enroll for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. Trained and Certified counselors are available to work one-on-one with residents to help them understand their options, balance their medical needs and budgets, compare coverage and costs, and help ensure that enrollees receive the premium subsidies and cost-sharing reductions they may be income-qualified to receive.
Residents who are currently enrolled in health insurance plans through the Marketplace may find it beneficial to learn about changes that may have taken place in their existing plan, check to see if their doctors are in network, review details and compare costs of alternative plans. Counselors will assist residents in learning about networks, doctors, premiums, deductibles and co-pay amounts.
In 2016, penalties will increase significantly for taxpayers who do not have health insurance coverage for themselves or their dependents. Residents are encouraged to explore their options for coverage, and financial assistance that may be available, before enrollment closes on January 31, 2015.
