Summer Party Attracts Volunteers, Candidates

A huge crowd of Highland Park-area Democrats joined candidates running for office in the November election for a great outdoor summer barbecue. The annual social event — which doubles as a fundraiser for the Moraine Township Democrats — also featured a number of local and statewide elected officials.

Guests included Congressman Brad Schneider, State Rep. Scott Drury and Mayor Nancy Rotering. Lt. Governor Sheila Simon, who is running for State Comptroller, and Paul Vallas, who is running for Lt. Governor, also attended.
